Position, Guide, and Grow

1

We position rural community assets

SSCRA helps communities of 3,000 to 5,000 people to help them thrive. We show them how to build on what they already have, organize themselves, and get the outside support they need.

2

We guide communities in building their critical resource partnerships

We guide communities in partnering with county, state, and federal agencies, as well as nonprofits, to access grants and funds for resilient development.

3

We connect and grow

We work alongside our client communities to ensure development partnerships reflect and advance their unique local priorities.

TOOLS IN OUR CONSULTING PRACTICE

At SSCRA, we believe communities hold the answers to their own challenges. To help unlock these solutions, our consulting arm utilizes three powerful approaches: Processwork, Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), and Open Space Technology. These methods share a core philosophy: fostering inclusive participation, leveraging existing strengths, and facilitating collaborative solutions through open dialogue. Each approach offers unique tools for communities seeking positive change

Process Work

Processwork helps groups understand and work with change and conflict, both within individuals and the larger community. It's about becoming aware of all the signals – spoken and unspoken – that influence a situation. This approach helps groups navigate complex issues, find creative solutions, and build resilience. Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD)

ABCD shifts the focus from what's missing to what's already present. It's a community development strategy that identifies and mobilizes existing assets – skills, resources, and relationships – to drive positive change. By building on strengths, communities can take ownership of their development and create lasting impact. Discover how ABCD can help your community unlock its potential.
